Program presentation begins at 7:30 pm.\n\nBrandt Mannchen will be the featured speaker, and will provide a brief overview of forest ecosystems, forest ecology, and the natural and human impacts on forests in Southeast Texas including the Houston Area. Do you enjoy getting back to nature and going for hike or stroll in one of our many public parks/ lands? If we don’t fight for them, they’ll disappear.\n\nDid you know that having a 100-mile hiking trail across Sam Houston National Forest in TX (Lone Star Hiking Trail) was the brain child of  the Lone Star Chapter of the Sierra Club, and the Club worked with the Forest Service to create it?\nAnd why does natural fauna and tree species matter?\nCome find out the answers to these questions and what forest advocacy looks like at this presentation.\n \nThe meeting will be at The United Way of Greater Houston.\n50 Waugh Dr (corner of Waugh and Feagan)\nHouston, TX 77007\nOn arrival check for the room number at reception area. The room assignment will be on the monitor located in the hallway entrance.\n \nFree parking in the garage. Enter garage from Feagan St.\nPlease do not park in any of the reserved spots in the garage, and don't park in the lot across the street. There are four levels in the United Way parking garage. From the first level come through the glass doors to the main entrance and reception area.
