Work alongside staff and fellow volunteers at our Gessner Center and see the impact of your efforts week by week.\n\nThis is a hands-on stewardship role where you will build practical skills, spend time outdoors, and be part of a team making visible progress each week.\n\nAs a Coastal Care Volunteer, you will:\n\n\n	Plant native species, remove overgrowth, and maintain habitat areas\n	Use hand tools and assist with safe, organized fieldwork\n	Help prepare and move tools, plants, and materials\n	Learn directly from staff about coastal ecosystems and restoration\n\n\nNo experience needed. We provide all training, tools, and guidance. Just show up ready to help!\n\nRestrooms and wifi available onsite. All tools and supplies provided. Minors (16+) welcome with a registered adult chaperone.\n\nThis role involves outdoor work in sun, mud, and uneven terrain. Review heat safety guidelines here.\n\Details:\n\n	This event is 18+. \n	This event is outdoors, staff will contact you in the event of inclement weather. \n	Indoor restrooms and wifi are available onsite. \n	Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and close-toe shoes. \n	Bring a reusable water bottle\n	Summer heat can cause dedhydration and heat illnesses.
