Alexander Clapp follows our waste (from plastics to cell phones to retired cruise ships) around the world and shows us the environmental degradation and human suffering that occurs as a result of our waste and demonstrates that colonialism is not over, it has just taken a new form.\n\nOur bi-monthly book club brings together environmentally minded Houstonians to discuss books exploring sustainability, climate change, environmental justice, public health, conservation, and the relationship between people and the planet. Whether you work in the environmental field or are simply curious and passionate about these topics, all are welcome.\n\nThis is a community-oriented discussion designed to encourage thoughtful dialogue, new perspectives, and meaningful connections across Houston’s environmental community.\n\n\n\nFree to join.
