Event Description
Galveston Bay Foundation’s aquatic nursery program grows and prepares plants that are critical to restoring wetlands and help to improve water quality and the health of Galveston Bay.
This hands-on opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, learning about coastal ecosystems, and making a positive impact on Galveston Bay.
Tasks include:
No prior experience is required; we will guide you through the process.
Expect the work to be muddy and wet. All supplies will be provided.

- Weeding
- Shifting plants around
- Repotting wetland plants
- Removing algae buildups in the ponds
