Citizens' Environmental Coalition

From Resilience to Thrivance in a Collapsing World

Date/Time
6/28/2026
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Central
Event Description
Join Dr. Jeff Crane as he explores how community farming can play a crucial role in moving past a simple
focus on resilience, mitigation, and adaptation to one of thrivance in a time of political, economic, and
ecological chaos. While the threats are manifold and extreme, it is important to move past reactionary
responses to working towards a better now and future, addressing the fundamental issues and
challenges that existed prior to this immediate period and will persist after, unless action is taken.
Community farming is integral to thrivance. It fosters better physical, emotional, psychological, and
spiritual health. It helps repair the relationship between humanity and the natural world. It creates a
web of community connections, friendships, and reciprocity. And finally, community farming brings joy
and beauty into our lives. Certainly, community farming is not the entire solution but, as a site of
dialogue, it can also contribute to other needed work. Consider thrivance through community farming!
