Protest at TCEQ offices against concrete batch plant near AWTY International School

Awty International School parents are organizing a protest outside of TCEQ's Houston office this Friday. Their demands relate specifically to the Concrete batch plant (Webber LLC) that is situated close to the Awty International School and more broadly to TCEQ's reluctance to properly regulate concrete batch plants and the air pollution associated with them. This Houston Chronicle article delves into the details of the health concerns and problems with the concrete batch plant near the Awty school as well as details of how the Awty parents have already been protesting and organizing.

All are welcome, but they are specifically inviting communities who have been impacted by CBPs and TCEQ to join them at the protest. They are hoping to build connection and collective power with other communities who have been dealing with these issues for a longer period. Please share with your networks.
