Event Description
Join the Coastal Prairie Conservancy for the Putting Down Roots Festival on Saturday, November 8th from 9 am - 1pm. Hundreds of volunteers will plant thousands of native plants to restore a full acre of prairie. This is a free, family-friendly event! They'll provide all planting supplies, free hot dogs and veggie dogs, and a variety of educational activities for kids and adults. Enjoy live bluegrass music from the Fire Ants String Band as you dig in and help bring the prairie to life.
