Prep-Training with Air Alliance Houston for commenting at TCEQ Hearing on Concrete Batch Plants

Air Alliance is doing a virtual training Monday November 17th at 7 p.m. for a very important hybrid TCEQ Public Hearing on Concrete Batch Plants coming up on November 20 at 2 PM. The TCEQ meeting concerns two important rule updates affecting concrete batch plant permitting and public health will be considered. These rule changes have significant implications for communities living near industrial facilities, particularly in neighborhoods that already experience cumulative air pollution. Public comments and community participation at this meeting is essential to ensure that public health protections are prioritized.

In addition to providing a prep session, to support meaningful participation, Air Alliance Houston is providing free bus transportation to Austin for residents and community partners who would like to attend and/or provide public comment. Bus pickup is at 9:30 AM on Nov. 20 at the Carl Walker Junior Center in Firth Ward (4300 Noble St B, Houston, TX 77020)
