Join Houston Parks Board along White Oak Bayou at our Watonga Prairie in efforts to help the bats!!
Volunteers will be planting native prairie species at the Watonga Prairie to help increase plant diversity and support the bat colony living under the Watonga Parkway bridge.
We will be meeting at 4480 Watonga Blvd, Houston, TX 77092
Start time is 9 a.m. and should last about 3 hours, until noon.
Please bring the following gear with you: closed-toed shoes, long pants, refillable water bottle, sun/weather protection (hats, sunglasses, insect repllent), and some excitement!
There is no restroom on site - please plan to make a pitstop prior to arrival. We will have drinking water refills available.
Parking is at Watonga Parkway parking lot.
