Get to Know Your Neighbors at Brazos Bend State Park and Coal & the Unseen at W.A. Parish Generating Station  9:00am-2:30pm
Explore the beauty of our local wildlife ecosystems while learning about environmental issues impacting our community. Knowledgeable guides at Brazos Bend State Park will lead you around 40 Acre Lake, sharing insights and stories along the way. And at the W.A. Parish, we'll learn how this coal plant impacts neighboring communities.

If you are driving your own vehicle, meet at 9:45am at the 40 Acre Lake parking lot. For carpool options, meet at the Sugar Land Memorial Park by 9am. More details will be shared via email to all registrants.

These tours aim to bring greater awareness to the intersections of race, class, and environmental issues in Southwest Houston. The ongoing work of local organizations is shared and interfaith and creative practices are incorporated into group learning experiences. All members of our diverse communities are welcome.
