Event Description
Join the Lone Star Sierra Club for their next Water for People & the Environment Committee meeting of 2026. The WPEC is a virtual space for Texans who care about water. We meet monthly to discuss water topics that impact Texans - from conservation to supply and everything in between.
On Monday, February 9, we will discuss the implementation and next steps of Proposition 4 with Bryan McMath, Executive Director of the Texas Water Development Board.
Proposition 4 was approved by Texans last November, authorizing $1 billion per year for water infrastructure, conservation, supply, flood mitigation, and other water projects across the state. What happens next? Join us to learn about how Proposition 4 works, what the funding timeline and allocation rules look like, and how Texas communities and water advocates can engage with the agency managing these funds.
