Event Description
Have you ever seen a firefly? Many people were lucky enough to see them as kids, but they're not as easy to find today. Armand Bayou Nature Center has restored and protected firefly habitat at ABNC, and with their firefly hikes, you'll have a chance to see them in person. This program is a 2 hour night hike where you'll learn about fireflies and then go and try to find some!

Know before you go

The maximum capacity of the hike is 12 people

We recommend that you bring water, insect repellent, and hand sanitizer

If you have red lights, feel free to bring them with you

We recommend that you wear long pants for the hike

Closed toed shoes are required on the hike. Participants without proper footwear will not be able to participate. (No Sandals, Slides, Crocs, etc.)

These hikes are for ages 6 and up

The hike will be approximately 2 hours

We cannot guarantee the presence of fireflies during our hike as they are wildlife and can be unpredictable
